The St. Joe River Camp

Open tab

We operate out of a riverfront camp on the St Joe River with wall tents on platforms set up with cots.

The camp has the electricity to charge electronics, however, there is no internet or cell service to or from camp, so be sure to bring good stories.

We do have some neighbors on the upriver side of the operation. The site also has a portable toilet and a propane heated shower on-site.

Day 1

White Pine will arrange a time between 7-10 am to meet in the town of Calder, Idaho.  You will be off the river by 3 pm - 6 pm depending on the season with an hour break for lunch.  Typical floats last 7 - 9 hours.

For those traveling to Moscow first please let us know and we will do our best to meet with you prior to your trip.  If you are looking for lodging here in Moscow we work with the Monarch Motel which is downtown and only a block away from the shop.

After a quick meet and greet in Calder, you will jump in the rig with your guide and head up or downriver to a designated boat launch to start your day on the river.  Expect to be in the car 10 - 30 minutes as we navigate to the boat launch ( a good time to quiz your guide or catch up).

The shuttle will leave a guide vehicle at the take out and will take our guest vehicles to camp (Please bring an extra set of keys for your rig to give to the shuttle crew).   At the end of the float, your guide will derig the boat and load it on the trailer and you will be transported to the overnight camp (10-30 minutes after take out).

Settle in at the camp with a few drinks while relaxing along the river enjoying the peace of no cell service while we prepare a gourmet dinner.  After dinner, we will spend the evening next to a campfire under a starry Idaho night among good company telling stories.

Day 2

Coffee starts at 6:30 am and sizzling breakfast by 7 am on day two.

After breakfast, we will load up and head to the river for another day of angling.  After the second day on the water 7-9 hours expect to be shuttled back to camp with your guide.  Say goodbye, give a good handshake and or hugs, and plan a trip for next week before departing!

( All personal gear should be packed up morning of day two)

      Day Trip Cancellations

Final payment is due 30 days before the date or your trip.

Reservations made 30 days or less before selected date required the full payment at time of booking to confirm your date.

      All deposits are non-refundable.

If the trip is cancelled within 30 days of your date, you must pay for your trip.

      Day Trip Reschedule

If you need to reschedule your trip, please contact White Pine Outfitters by phone (208-883-3900) or email (info@whitepine-outfitters.com) as soon as possible to ensure a date is available.

White Pine Outfitters may assess a $150 fee for rescheduling.

      Multi-Day Trip Cancellations

If you find it necessary to cancel your trip please notify us as soon as possible. All deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your trip more than 120 days prior to your departure date we will retain your deposit and credit it toward a future trip with White Pine Outfitters. If you cancel 120 day or less but more than 60 days prior to your launch date you must pay 50% of the trip price. If you cancel within 60 days of your trip departure, you must pay the full trip price. This cancellation policy applies per person. We regret we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies. Because of this, we strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and travel insurance (see Travel Insurance).

Travel Insurance / Life Flight Insurance

Your pre-trip package will provide more information on the rigors of the trip you have chosen. Even though we make every effort to insure a safe trip for everyone, we strongly recommend that you protect yourself, your belongings, and your vacation by purchasing a traveler’s insurance policy. Should you have to cancel your trip at the last minute due to illness or injury, a trip cancellation policy will cover your non-refundable payments in most cases. If you become ill or injured while on a river trip, evacuation may be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Many trip insurance policies cover such events. If you choose not to purchase travel insurance you will be asked to sign a waiver. Baggage and cameras are carried entirely at the owner’s risk, and White Pine Outfitters Inc. accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, or delayed property. We recommend TRAVELEX.
