13 August 2026 - St. Joe River Fishing Report

Location: Lower St Joe, Avery down

Water Condition: 434 cfs

Fishing Techniques: Hopper Dropper, Streamers, Dry Fly

Hatches: Caddis, Terrestrials

Report: On the St. Joe, fishing before 2pm has been the most productive. Fish have been eating hopper patterns and on a variety of nymphs as well. The flows are good for both wade fishing or floating. 

The primary hatches are caddis and terrestrials such as ants and beetles. 

Morning water temps are around 64° and evening water temps are closer to 68°.  Please keep in mind to monitor water temperature; warmer water temps are unsafe for trout.
